Set Up

Twisted Pixel Games was hard at work on their follow up title to the hugely popular ‘Splosion Man, and were looking to for a way to build some buzz around the impending release of the new game, Ms. ‘Splosion Man, which up to then had remained a closely guarded secret. The plan was to make the announcment on G4TV and the Twisted Pixel website simultaneously.

Solution

A countdown clock was designed, built and planted front and center on the Twisted Pixel site and set three days out from the announcement date. Feedback from fans was immediate and started to build a good amount of buzz for the impending reveal. On December 3rd, 2010 the clock reached zero and proceeded set off a series of (digital) explosions as the Ms. ‘Splosion Man logo appeared through the smoke.
